Orders

Bear’s Brownies offers next day delivery for orders placed by 4pm Monday to Friday, please note this is not a guaranteed service. Deliveries to be made on a Saturday, Monday or at a specified time (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) can be arranged at an additional cost. Orders placed on Friday after 4pm can be delivered on the following Tuesday at the earliest and we regret that we cannot guarantee delivery times, please ensure you therefore enter the correct delivery date. All items are subject to availability. The date and time of delivery shall not be the essence of the contract and any failure by us to make delivery on any particular date shall not entitle the customer to refuse the delivery or to claim for any expenses, loss of profits or other consequential losses whatsoever. Ownership of the goods will pass to the customer on receipt of payment and dispatch of the goods. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. Once Bear’s Brownies have dispatched the goods to our third party courier, we cannot be held responsible for any failure on their part to deliver on your chosen date.  Please note that orders placed after the cut off time for your specified delivery date will be delivered as quickly as is possible but they will incur a delay.

Orders for next working day delivery must be placed by 4pm the day before. Please note that deliveries are not possible on bank holidays or Sundays. Same day delivery can be arranged by sameday courier, please contact yum@bearsbrownies.co.uk.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all delivery address details for the recipient given are correct, Bear’s Brownies cannot accept any responsibility or costs for non delivery to the intended recipient or losses in such circumstances.

On the day of delivery of your gift, our third party couriers will attempt to deliver on our behalf between 8am and 6pm. If no one is home to take delivery, the courier will attempt to leave the gift in a safe place or with a neighbour. If in the judgement of the delivery driver there is no obvious safe place to leave the gift, a card will be left with instructions to rearrange delivery. The gift will be returned to the depot. It is the recipients responsibility to make contact by calling the phone number on the card to re-deliver the gift on another day (Monday to Friday or charges may apply). Bear’s Brownies cannot accept responsibility or costs for deliveries where the recipient has not initiated contact with the courier to rearrange delivery; this remains wholly the responsibility of the recipient. Bear’s Brownies strongly recommends that the sender advises the recipient to expect a delivery.

Ensuring that the recipient is going to be at the delivery address, on the day of delivery, remains the responsibility of the sender. Bear’s Brownies cannot accept responsibility or costs incurred in such circumstances. Bear’s Brownies cannot accept responsibility or any costs incurred as the result of a delay in delivery by the third party courier due to adverse weather conditions or accident. In such cases a complimentary on-line credit voucher will be offered as a gesture of goodwill. Where damage has occurred due to such delay a replacement will be dispatched to the recipient.

All items are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available.

Amendments can be made up to the point at which you click on ‘submit’ on the final page of our ordering process. It may be possible to amend a submitted order by contacting yum@bearsbrownies.co.uk. This is entirely at our discretion.

We do our best to ensure that all our products leave Bear’s Brownies in perfect condition. In the unlikely event you are unhappy with the product or service received please contact us via email to yum@bearsbrownies.co.uk within 48hrs of receiving the item or the expected delivery date. We may ask you to return them to us in their original packaging so we can investigate the problem and rectify it or if appropriate, provide a refund. Website content

Bear’s Brownies has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and all products have been accurately and fairly described. Packaging may vary from that shown. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website, however as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery. Bear’s Brownies  reserves the right to change the decoration on each cake with an appropriate substitute of equal appeal and quality.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bear’s Brownies disclaims all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. Bear’s Brownies shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website.

Ingredients

All our products are freshly made to order using the finest ingredients. Where possible we try to use natural food colouring and flavourings, however this is not always possible. Some of our products contain nuts, these are clearly noted in the descriptions. We make every effort to avoid contamination of nut based products in the kitchen, however as nuts are present and may have been present in the manufacture of our ingredients, this cannot be guaranteed. It is often possible to produce equivalent products avoiding certain ingredients, for example wheat or dairy. We may be able to remove or substitute ingredients for customers with allergies or intolerances. Please contact us at yum@bearsbrownies.co.uk prior to ordering with any allergen queries.
