• How will my order be delivered?

All our brownies are delivered by an overnight courier service. We cannot guarantee next day delivery in circumstances beyond our control, however these situations are rare. We recommend arranging delivery for the day prior to an event to mitigate for an unforeseen delay.

Deliveries are largely made between 8am and 6pm. But may be delivered outside these hours. We recommend you let the recipient know to expect a delivery and to choose a date when they will be at home, or you are welcome to opt for delivery to their place of work.

Bear’s Brownies cannot guarantee delivery times or dates. We use a third-party courier to make most deliveries, and the date and time of delivery shall not be the essence of the contract.

As delivery times can vary for locations such as Northern Ireland, Highlands, Islands and rural areas please contact us at yum@bearsbrownies.co.uk prior to placing an order to discuss any additional charges.

  • Can I send my gift as a surprise?

Yes you can. But you’ll need to consider what will happen if the person you’re surprising isn’t home at the time of delivery.

We’re happy to include instructions on our packaging asking the courier driver attempt to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place, and to post a card saying where the delivery is if the recipient is not home. We’ll also ask for a contact telephone number from you when you order, in case the driver is unsure what to do.

In the rare situation that no alternative location can be found, the driver will post a card through the door advising that the parcel has been returned to the delivery depot with instructions for re-delivery or collection.

Please note that we cannot take responsibility for parcels left if the recipient is not home at the time of delivery, or for parcels returned to the depot. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.

  • Where will my gift message be?

We include your gift message on a postcard placed inside the presentation box.

  • How long will my brownies stay fresh for?

Our brownies are sent in snug presentation boxes to ensure they arrive at their freshest. We recommend to eat your brownies within a week from delivery to be at their yummiest, or longer if you store them in an airtight container.

There is no need to store your brownies in the fridge, in fact they are best at room temperature. We do recommend you keep them in an air-tight container. Brownies freeze well for up to 6 weeks in a sealed container.

  • What ingredients are used in my brownies?
